Company Director
As a Mental Health Community Development Worker for BME communities for a local PCT, Lynn has been supporting and assisting asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants to establish themselves and integrate into the community. Formally a qualified immigration case worker, Lynn has considerable experience as a professional using interpreters in a legal setting. She is also an experienced trainer and has devised and delivered training on how to work with interpreters, helping services identify the best practice for them.
Company Director
Julie approached Bridge to gain a university internship in April 2012, and has not left since. She first obtained the Level 3 Community Interpreting qualification and was offered a volunteer position at Bridge. She is now a Bridge employee and works with the rest of the team towards maintaining high standards of interpreting and translation and upskilling bilingual individuals in the North East. Julie obtained a Master’s Degree in Translation from Newcastle University in October 2013 and obtained the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (French-English) the following year.
Student Support Officer
Craig started working with Bridge as a Student Support Officer in November 2016. Having worked in Education for 32 years he is able to provide dedicated support to Bridge’s students on a daily basis at home and Worldwide. He also assists tutors in designing course material of a very high standard. Craig is able to respond to learners’ queries in a prompt and timely manner to ensure the learners’ journey is a positive and rewarding one.
Booking Administrator
Tom has joined the team in October 2014 as a Business Administration apprentice and is in charge of interpreting and translation bookings and interpreters and translators support.
Anna has been in charge of Bridge’s accounts since September 2015. She has studied accounting in Russia for 5 and half years. She assists the two directors in ensuring the smooth running of the business by issuing invoices, answering invoice queries, collecting and managing data and preparing the end of year accounts.
